Under-voltage detected

Thu Apr 26, 2018 1:52 pm

I when I run dmesg I see

[58611.126996] Under-voltage detected! (0x00050005)
[58665.207685] Voltage normalised (0x00000000)

Can this damage the Pi by any chance ? Or is it harmless ?

It is very unlikely to cause any damage to the hardware of the RPi board itself.

But it is certainly not harmless: that's why the nice people at the Raspberry Pi Foundation have gone to the trouble of alerting you to the problem.

Low voltage can cause your Operating System to malfunction in unpredictable ways, and can cause unrecoverable corruption of data being written to the microSD card that contains the system. Not 'Will' cause, but might...

In that case I will continue using it for some more time.

Can you please visit amazon.in and suggest me a power supply ?

The only Power Supply for a Raspberry Pi I would be prepared to recommend is this one:
