Can Raspberry Pi 3 Model B or Zero W be sold in Australia?

Hi

I can't seem to find RCM certification for 3 Model B or Zero W. Isn't it required for the devices to be sold in Australia? Yet, RS and others are still selling them.

Any thought appreciated.

3B is documented here https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... formity.md I can't help on the Zero, but it maybe a case of the webpage not having been updated with the appropriate document.

My brief reading about RCM makes me think that it is only the importer who can apply for It.

As stated at top of page, that page does not have all the documentation that the Rpf actually have.

According to this article: http://metlabs.com/emc/ce-compliance-te ... i-mini-pc/ the Pi got through Australia's c-tick approval.

As I understand RCM replaced c-tick.

I think we can be confident that there is no issue here.

I'm sure we would have heard about it long ago if there were any problems with approvals.

In answer to the question.

Yes, it can.

Because it is!

A better phrasing would be "Can Raspberry Pi 3 Model B or Zero W be legally sold in Australia?"

The answer is still yes, we always get permission and relevant licences/conformity certificates prior to selling in a market.

Should be listed in the RMC database at
https://equipment.erac.gov.au/Registrat ... atn=public
but I don’t see it.
If RPT is not the importer then I would not expect to see RPT there - but the official importer should be there.

That database doesn't seem to have many types, nothing about computers etc, now if it was an insect electrocutor it would be easier to find :D
