I still really, really want a separate dedicated OTG/Gadget port so I don't have to choose between plugging in USB devices or being a USB gadget, but am pretty sure the underlying SOC doesn't support a second USB channel even if it was seen as a worthwhile idea. My secondary wish would be an audio jack, or more reasonably the pins to wire one onto or some other easier method of accessing the onboard audio (I'm aware of redirecting the PWMs onto GPIO and wiring up a circuit on that.) without using HDMI.

A power LED would seem to be one of the more reasonable ideas, so newbies can tell that they've bought a working device without having to boot from a memory card.

Part of me wonders, though, if it isn't the ability to do something extra, but rather a firmware change that allows you disable something or to desolder a specific thing from the board without it causing errors... that'd still be a "feature", right? :) Some of us love the idea of removing every unnecessary component from our project to get the power draw as low as possible.

Blue LED unicorn with Pink LED lit horn?
Barbie Pink = 100% red + 1 to 5% blue and green, depending on the type of RGB led.
Don't ask why I know this.

Anyone done a blue unicorn animation on a Pimoroni Unicorn LED hat?

Actually it's an IR led, so it can double up as a subversive TV remote control

"Hey! Was that you? The TV's just changed channel, away from Neighbours!"
"Wasn't me, love. I was just minding my own business, doing some coding on my new Pi Zero"
"Well, it keeps happening. It kept doing it yesterday, as well!
Are you sure it isn't you?"

Or holes for an IR transistor so that you can control your PiZero with a TV remote!

Most likely for this...a pair of holes for you to solder header pins into.

Probably could be done without affecting cost, but I'd class it as a bit of a stretch.

Not at all, Liz is just doing the research to find the second most requested feature, to write the spec for the next change on the Pi Zero.

I've got a flashing blue led on something I built - if I look directly at it I can't see it! Only if it's in my peripheral field of view can I see it.
Anyone else got this 'problem'?

I don't think there'll be any extra LEDs. Maybe a slight repositioning of the existing one.

I think you're gonna be out of luck!
Judging by the suggestions on this thread, noone out here is clever enough to suggest anything useful.

Okay...then NOTHING should change on the Pi Zero. It's perfect just the way it is.

I think something that can detect this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJOD7Bsllso) is very useful.

Jednorozec,

Thanks. I now have to commit suicide. That song and those images will never leave my mind. And if I stay living my mind will be permanently tormented as to why anyone would make such a video.

Bye everyone.

Just mutter to yourself:

Conductor, when you receive a fare,
Punch in the presence of the passenjare!
A blue trip slip for an eight-cent fare,
A buff trip slip for a six-cent fare,
A pink trip slip for a three-cent fare,
Punch in the presence of the passenjare!
Punch brothers! Punch with care!
Punch in the presence of the passenjare!

stderr,
Just mutter to yourself:
My usual solution to this kind of mental virus, like when you find your mind running ABBA or Michael Jackson over and over in the middle of the night, is to play Hawkwind's Masters of the Universe.

Or perhaps Bach's Toccata and Fugue in d minor organ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipzR9bhei_o

VERY LOUD.

Sadly I don't have a means to do that just now. So it might have be suicide.

So far as I know, that isn't a form factor issue. It's a matter the full-sized HDMI connector needing hand soldering. Same problem as a full-sized USB connector.

If you watch all 10 hours of it you'll sustain such severe brain damage that you'll go into a permanent coma. Or perhaps one of the other 10 hour videos.

It is a form factor issue - cases would no longer fit.
