Help finding a suitable display

Sat Jan 30, 2016 11:34 am

Hello everyone,

I recently tried to run retropie on the RPi Zero using a 3.2" waveshare spotpear display.
After the installation I quickly found out that the refresh rate of the screen was way too low to play any game smoothly.
I think this is either due to the refresh rate of the screen itself or due to the communication protocol with the pi.

Anyhow, I would like to know if anyone has any experience with a 3.2" display(or a bit smaller) that can run games on the pi at 60 fps.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Roy

[EDIT] I am willing(and hopefully capable(: ) to do some more advanced hardware or software work if this is neccesary to achieve high performance.

AFAIK ther are no good (1080p@60hz) screens available so just use a smart phone. But this will do 60hz https://www.adafruit.com/products/2232
SBC with 32GB RAM: https://hardkernel.com
