You need to watch Youtube in HTML5 mode but still not a great experience:

Though kweb seems a better option for watching Youtube:

Do you know if this works for chromium 45? In case you didn't get the previous links:

I can confirm the same video playback issue in Chromium 47, but if I roll back to Chromium 43, all is well! I haven't tried Chromium 45, so feel free to still give that a shot. :D

Thanks you so much. :D
Both YouTube and Pepper flash work for Chromium 45, although the YouTube playback is not as smooth as in 47 version.

I'm just checking if it works on full Ubuntu through apt if it's just Raspbian or Ubuntu as well.

For now I'll just roll back to v45 since there is not much new in v47.

:?:

I was checking if it was a package that was needed or a certain environment. You're saying 47.0.2526.80 has youtube issue on Raspbian? Sadly, Ubuntu doesn't seem to have that.

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET CHROMIUM ON JESSIE!
THIS WILL ONLY WORK ON A Pi2!

1. Install and configure Raspbian. There are plenty of guides on how to do this.

THIS HAS BEEN UPDATED FOR JESSIE. SORRY, BUT NO WHEEZY INSTRUCTIONS. JESSIE IS THE FUTURE. ;)
2. Download and install updated Chromium and dependencies:
For anyone who doesn't trust me, these are the same exact files gotten from here:
http://ports.ubuntu.com/pool/universe/c ... m-browser/
If you feel more secure getting the relative files there, by all means. But those files may disappear at any time, which is why I host them on my DropBox.

Code: Select all

wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87113035/chromium-browser-l10n_45.0.2454.85-0ubuntu0.15.04.1.1181_all.deb
wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87113035/chromium-browser_45.0.2454.85-0ubuntu0.15.04.1.1181_armhf.deb
wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87113035/chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra_45.0.2454.85-0ubuntu0.15.04.1.1181_armhf.deb
sudo dpkg -i chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra_45.0.2454.85-0ubuntu0.15.04.1.1181_armhf.deb
sudo dpkg -i chromium-browser-l10n_45.0.2454.85-0ubuntu0.15.04.1.1181_all.deb chromium-browser_45.0.2454.85-0ubuntu0.15.04.1.1181_armhf.deb
You should have Chromium 45 now installed!

Any problems, please post them here, these exact steps haven't been tested, but the general procedure has, so any typos, please report them. ;)

I am trying to get Chrome Remote Desktop working via the Chrome Web Store. I installed Chrome Remote Desktop successfully, but I need Native Client to connect to my Windows 10 Computer.

I checked in the Chrome Flags (chrome://flags) and Native Client didn't pop up like its supposed to from the guides I followed. So I checked Chrome Flags on my Windows Computer and Native Client was there. Which leads me to think Native Client isn't on the Chromium installation from before. If anyone has a file I should add to the Chrome Program Files or something that will add Native Client to Chrome that would be a big help!

I am also posting this too another post on this forum so check there before asking any questions

It looks like Chromium doesn't support it. This was what came up:

I have used your excellent guide on another Pi2 I got, but on my 'old' one, that I just updated to Jessie, I can't get it running.

I get access denied to the dropbox.

Is this logging into Dropbox or starting Chromium? Do you see anything else? Exactly what happened?
