BluRay Burner Data (NOT movie)

Tue Mar 24, 2015 1:17 pm

Is it possible to use a RasPi to burn & read BluRays of data?
I have zero interest in movies, just archiving data files.

Any recommended burners, distros, and programs?

TIA

looks like no one has tried;

BluRay writing should work though as it is working on other Debian systems
http://askubuntu.com/questions/43971/is ... liable-yet
and the same tool is available on Raspbian;

Code: Select all

apt-cache show growisofs

Just to warn you (if you didn't already know). growisofs is a command line tool. I don't know of a simple GUI interface to it.

However, it is a very good CLI tool and I use it a lot for backups :-)

CLI isn't a prob, since I don't use a GUI in the Pi's and typically ssh into them.

That's the best way to do it :)
