Hello,

element14 India store shows multiple RPi listings with different price tags and Kit contents.

*All Prices include 5% VAT and Rs.200 Shipping Charge

1)RPi Model-B

link : http://goo.gl/mm86X

Price : Rs.2667 ($55) - 50% more than the announced $35 pricetag

Kit Contents : Evaluation Board

2)RPi Model-B Basic

link : http://goo.gl/w0JPu

price : Rs.2027 ($41)

Kit Contents : Board + 1X HDMI,USB and Ethernet Cables + 4GB SD Card + 3Port USB Hub

3)RPi Model-B Plus

link : http://goo.gl/23YYR

Price : Rs.4480 ($90)

Kit Contents : Board + 2XUSB, 1XHDMI and Ethernet Cables + 4GB SD Card/Reader + 3Port USB + Keyboard and Mouse + Wifi Dongle

Now the second item cost less than the first one and still gets all required cables with a 4GB SD Card. How can they sell Model-B Basic so cheap? I tried to call but their support team is unavailable.

PS : My order for Model-B ($55) was confirmed and Estimated date is W/C 5/03/2012

^  No, the prices he mentioned includes the 5% VAT and Rs 200 delivery charge.

@Mohan - Till yesterday the 2nd item you were referring to wasn't available, I will be calling them first thing in the morning to clarify regarding this.

Even I placed the order paying Rs 2667, all over the world people are paying only the $35 equivalent and the applicable local taxes and shipping. There is seriously some issues with the pricing!

Just a suggestion, rather than make your comments here, which no-one can really deal with, why don't you take the matter up with Element14? They even have their own discussion forum for people to raise issues.
