A topic very close to us. I work on a farm that produces rare breed beef, pork and turkey. We sell at farmers' markets and direct delivery as well as use our meat at catering events (doing sausage rolls at a wassailing this weekend).
It is tough on Tescos et all since they, and it appears their suppliers, have been stitched up by some dodgy imports (not Chinese RPis).

"Nay!"

(Been saving that gag for two days. I'm probably not the first though.)

Let's rein in these horsey puns, I think they've ran their distance.

Interesting that Tesco had by far the worst case (29% horse!) and they seem to have the worst reputation for squeezing their suppliers the hardest. In my opinion they got what they paid for in the end.

(I don't work in food production or for any of Tesco's competitors, by the way.)

Indeed, the spoon was cropped for my profile. Not what I was thinking of though.

Technically neither pig or horse are game, although wild boar and zebra are.

Right , because they are because horse and pig are domesticated whereas zebra and boar are not
