I don't know but IMO there never should have been an 'Anything goes' OT sub forum here.
I may be wrong but I think the original intent was to have a place to put threads which were related to RPi but which did not fit any of the other sub forums.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated Raspbian Buster w/ Desktop OS.
Topics that are completely unrelated to the Pi are sometimes deleted. Topics that are prone to be "edgy" are at a higher risk of being deleted. Topics that always seem to lead to arguments are at risk of being deleted. this topic has, I think, a moderately strong chance of being deleted.
Looked through the moderators log, but couldn't find anything form the OP that was recently deleted, we need specific info about the subject to know why it was deleted, probably either because it had nothing to do about a RPI, or it asked specific questions about a competitors product (which should be posted in its forum, if it exists).
Indeed, we have few rules here, generally be nice to one another and keep things Pi related.
Things that get deleted get deleted for a reason. Just live with it. Life's too short to worry about it.
