Hi everyone;
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone (if you celebrate it), it's my last day of work for 2011 and I'm about to go home. Driving down to the mother land (Cornwall) tomorrow morning :D

Peace out, happy 2012!

Merry Crimbo...

You know, the R-Pi would have fit really nicely into a stocking... Okay, okay... I'll not start one of those tirades off LOL...

Happy hols to all those that can have one and a "don't work too hard" to those that can't get time off.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thankfully I work less than 10 miles from home so don't have any traveling to do...

Good parties of end of year, for everyone who don't celebrate christmas.
Today is my last work day, too. I think I'm going to Rio de Janeiro for vacancy.

To be fair it was a very politically correct way of saying it. It only seriously offends those whom people are okay with offending :P :P :P

Sadly, I'm leaving Cornwall (my absolute favourite bit of the country; I have a bit of a thing for hiking through marsh between megaliths) first thing tomorrow for the altogether less warm and tender air of Cheshire, then Yorkshire. I'll be doing it with a big box full of Raspberry Pis, though, so it's not all bad.

Nope - Cornwall. We're in California so much for work that we decided that this year's romantic holiday should involve NO FLYING WHATSOEVER.

Oh wow cool, so you were out hiking around Bodmin or something then? You're brave going there at this time of year!

7 miles (in thick fog - GPS, compass, map, phone, survival blanket and a lot of sandwiches) round Bodmin, ten along the coastal path near Zennor, which nearly killed me. Absolutely brilliant. And I'm typing this with the window open and the sea roaring away - I'm going to be as miserable as hell to go home.

Good on ya. I know that Zennor path, really nice up around that way and on Penwith moors too. I tend to give Bodmin a bit of a wide berth though, I haven't been up there in years. Are there loads of those wild ponies still? I do enjoy hiking though. Back in September four of my mates and I walked the whole of Hadrian's Wall for my stag do. It was amazing, but we had to really push ourselves :)

Ponies - honestly, there was so much fog, I couldn't tell you, although we did see a few rearing through the mist. Conversation went thusly several times:

"Look! There's another stone circle!"

"It's horses again, isn't it?"

First of all Merry Christmas all.

I'll be off upstate on saturday to the woodstock area http://maps.google.com/maps?q=.....38;vpsrc=0 but in an area with little to no internet unless I go to the mall at kingston or wander up a mountain with a cantenna and leech but I will get to see my buddy tanker :) and he and i will probably go wandering and getting as muddy as possible.

I did want to wish you all a Happy Christmas, but after consulting my legal advisor I was made aware in no uncertain terms that there were a number of possible problems with the greeting I had intended to use, to this end the local government approved language guidelines were followed with particular reference to the Socialist Republic of Camden's diktats on the matter, (Non Offence of Whining PC ****s act 2006).
Below is the result, please do not feel I am implying an obligation to read it, that would constitute an unacceptable cultural imperialism on my part if I felt that the effort spent in writing it in some way obliged your perusal thereof.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or otherwise, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress , non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday practised with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all .

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2012, but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country Great Britain (not to imply that Britain is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee .

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms :

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher .

Best Regards (Without prejudice)

Name withheld (Data Protection Act).

:)
