Just HOW frigging difficult is it to get OpenVG and OpenGL ES and EGL working together on a desktop Linux install?  Using Ubuntu, it seems pretty much impossible, whether on desktop *or* TrimSlice - the OpenVG libraries are there but EGL doesn't report support for it.  Arch isn't much better as it requires hax0ring about with the AUR.

Mint seems to be better, and Gentoo seems to at least allege support for this stuff with the right useflags.  Shouldn't have to change distros for something like this though.

It keeps telling me there are only 4 threads I haven't caught up with, when I know there are over 50. And it doesn't like apostrophes.

Then, I haven't looked around, so maybe all software sucks. In fact I know all software sucks. Particularly stuff I wrote myself.

Also my car sucks. Then it squeezes. Then it bangs. Then it blows.

Like the wind. Except that doesn't do the suck-squeeze-bang bit. The fence did the bang bit. All of it. In the wind. All over my blackberry and raspberry briars. Which sucks.

My server crashed, opend my G5 to see what was wrong....

Seems it has finally given up to the dreaded G5 LCS leak, both cpu cards are badly corroded, one should pull through.

the other.... well that lost around 10 caps, almost certainly dead.

tomorrow i will drain and attempt to reseal it, hopefully it'll run fine with only one cpu card

You'd better do the mouse too. 

Just be glad you're not using a touch-screen PC, you'd have to dunk the whole thing in dettol to be sure.  btw  Have you ever seen the Top Gear episodes where after buying second hand cars, they have them examined by forensic scientists to discover what crud might be inside the cars?

The results on both occasions were definitely gross…

On second thoughts, neat bleach would probably be for the best.

Had something close happen last night. A mates Compression fitting on this radiator let go dropped fluid all down the board and pool onto the back of his new 6970

You can get a keyboard with a touchpad for about £30.

You can get a keyboard with a USB hub for about £30, but only ever two ports.

But you cannot get a keyboard with a touchpad and a USB hub for under £200.

I don't mind spending the same as the cost of the RPi on a keyboard. I object to spending ten times the amount.

It's nothing compared to norovirus, but there's nowhere in this hotel room where I can sit and work without being dazzled. Eben and I stayed (for work) in so many Fairmonts last year that we've got bumped to a suite, which is very nice, but at the desk the sun shines off a mirror into your face; on one chair, it shines directly at you; and on the other, it shines off a building, into another mirror, and into your face.

Yes, I did do the sensible thing and shut the curtains.

Well, yes.  And no. 

sucksqueeze/bangblow is one way to describe it, but it gets confusing when you consider that the suck also does the blow, and there's crankcase squeezing to consider too.  They're not all separate actions.



I'm surprised that people are still allowed to make two-stroke engines.....

Just now read a medical article from my Android's news widget and wanted to post a comment.

Message at bottom reads "All opinions are moderated before being included (to stop spam)" and includes a ReCaptcha window with one word twisted into utter illegibility and the other in Hebrew - HEBREW!

Well, yes.  And no.

Concorde did much the same thing, though it was a diesel. The suck & squeeze happened at the front, the bang was in the middle, and the blow was what made the thing go forward
