A Phenomenon in Minecraft Pi (I think)

Sat Jun 20, 2015 7:25 am

Something really weird happened when I used this simple program with the intent for it to continuously put out a stack of steel blocks 50 bricks high. Here is the code

Code: Select all

from mcpi import minecraft
from time import sleep

mc = minecraft.Minecraft.create()
while True:
    x, y, z = mc.player.getPos()
    mc.setBlock(x, y-1, z, x+1, y+2, z+1, 42)
    sleep (0.1)
And here is the result. the easiest way for me to explain the results is with a video

Can anyone explain this?

the command to set a cuboid of blocks is "setBlocks" with an "s".

setBlock takes three coordinates only
