Projects/Networking. Deploying a VPN to a non-RPF Operating System

Sun Mar 17, 2019 3:30 am

Hi all,

Pi newbie here, been reading about different types of protocols to use, why use OpenVPN or PPTP? I read this guide - https://vpntoolbox.com/vpn-protocols-explained/

There seems to be a consensus around openvpn, obviously it's OS so that helps.

Any pointers would be great, i'm running CentOS.

Thanks
Dave

In a nutshell, PPTP is old and easily hacked.

Two heads are better than one, unless one's a goat head.
