PiBang Linux, an Openbox Distribution.

Mon Oct 08, 2012 10:50 am

I am proud to announce that PiBang Linux is ready for public distribution and testing.

PiBang Linux is Linux distribution for the Raspberry Pi. It is insired by Crunchbang Linux, and based on Rasbian. It aims at being a fully functioning desktop. It features a modified version of Raspi-Config along with a fully optimized Openbox install.

We would love to see more testers and devs as well as this in the list of distributions in the forums.

This weekend we released RC4!

It is AWESOME. Everything the community wanted, they got. Wireless and Bluetooth support, with not only nm-applet but also a port of ceni from the Aptosid project. Community submitted artwork. Updated support for 512 mb Pi's.

If you havn't already, give it a shot! (make sure you sign into the forum and introduce yourself.)

The new release is excellent. Glad the wifi issue isn't a problem anymore.
