Screen freezes following boot

Thu Jul 18, 2013 7:56 am

Sorry if this problem has already been raised.

I have a new Raspberry Pi model B. I've successfully run Raspbian on it but as an old Acorn user I wanted to try RISCOS. Successfully loaded to a newly formatted card from the NOOBS file. It appears to boot OK but the cursor freezes after moving just a short way across the screen & never recovers.

Any suggestions?

I had problems with Noobs to start with the solution was to reformat the card and start again.

Problem solved. Not my memory card or the NOOBS RISCOS files but my mouse, which was OK on Raspbian.

Of course it was a Microsoft wireless mouse.

First time I've known Linux be more tolerant of Microsoft than anything else...
