Hi,

I wanted to try the latest RISC OS but my mouse does not work. If I use Raspbian, my mouse works perfectly. Any help is appreciated.

Are you using both USB ports on the RPi with RISC OS? I have a USB hub connected to one of them. When the keyboard/mouse wireless stick is inserted into the other USB port I find that mouseclicks go missing. When it is inserted into a port on the hub (so that only one USB port on the raspberry pi is being used) the mouseclicks all get through OK.

Have a look here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 55&t=22700

I gave up on my Hama wireless desktop.

Thank you both of you for posts ;)

GavinW:
I am using only one USB port. It means, I could try your solution. Do you use a common USB hub or some kind of self powered USB hub ?

thradtke:

You saved me many sleepless nights :D If GavinW's solution does not help me, I will not waste my time with finding of another solution.

I use a powered hub, an "Eminent" EM1107 7-port hub. I use a 2-into-1 USB connector from it to power the Raspberry Pi. Switching the Raspberry Pi on/off is done by plugging/unplugging the power lead for the hub. The hub is a compact hollow square with 5 ports plus power and USB-in on the outside and 2 swivelling ports on the inside of the square. Putting the wireless stick in a swivelled port means it sticks up in the air; whether that actually gives a more unobstructed signal I am not sure, but I like to think so.

Precise solution. It seems to be nice "toy". I am going to try RISC OS with my old wired mouse. If I find RISC useful, I will buy this hub. Thank you for your advice.
