Nice, thanks for all the hard work (to everyone involved)! Will give it a go during the weekend when I have the time to fiddle around.

What does v6 refer to? ARM instruction set version, or ALARM version?

Here are the results of the LINPACK benchmark on both the v5-nohf and v6-hf Arch versions. Both were done on a stock OS without any overclocking. I'm using arm240_start.elf.

v5-nohf
Enter array size (q to quit) [200]: 200
Memory required: 315K.

LINPACK benchmark, Double precision.
Machine precision: 15 digits.
Array size 200 X 200.
Average rolled and unrolled performance:

Reps Time(s) DGEFA DGESL OVERHEAD KFLOPS
----------------------------------------------------
4 0.68 88.24% 5.88% 5.88% 8583.333
8 1.36 88.24% 5.88% 5.88% 8583.333
16 2.72 88.24% 5.88% 5.88% 8583.333

64 10.87 91.44% 2.67% 5.89% 8591.724

Hello,
trying the new image... but... I think the username/password are no more the same as before.

Which user is defined or which is the root password?

Thank you.

Best regards, and thanks for the Hard work ;)

Edit: Forget this. I rebooted and then it worked as expected.

The 23 Sep Hard Float version has been put on the downloads page, but i am concerned as it is significantly smaller than the other images that were like 193MB-208MB, being only like 159MB.

How come it is so much smaller?

Yes, smaller because I was shown the way of localepurge, you learn something new every day

So, that means it is just cleaner but nothing was removed that will require more downloads by Pacman? I ask as my Pi will not have internet access for a while...when it finally comes.

Nothing missing, function as before except rc.conf no more, now systemd, and very fast boot. I heard that all the boards made in South Wales have this run on them for testing
