Feature request Lirc_rpi

Mon Jul 09, 2012 7:06 pm

It would be cool if Archlinux comes with module lirc_rpi (Lirc homebrew adapter via GPIO).
I just updated to Kernel 3.1.9-28 and found drivers/stagging/lirc empty but a Kconfig (without lirc_rpi init).

Will it ever be added to Archlinux or does it come automatcly when lirc_rpi goes into git-kernel?

pfff, has been closed by Kevin:
By the author's own admission, it still needs a lot of work. At this point I don't think it's a good candidate for us to rebuild for, but the instructions are simple enough that you can take care of it locally.
How did the sound driver ever get into Archlinuxarm with all the issues on the analouge output???
