Trying to interface adafruit fingerprint sensor with RPI

Sat Aug 10, 2019 8:04 pm

Hi all
Complete newbie here.

Background
I'm trying make a fingerprint clock in/out system for a school project using the Adafruit ADA751 (https://thepihut.com/products/adafruit- ... int-sensor) which is made for an Arduino.

Problem
I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to figure out how to interface the sensor with the RPI Model B 4.
I read a tutorial here but found it useless (https://tutorials-raspberrypi.com/how-t ... ntication/)
My issue is the pins on the sensor are tiny and I can't attach them to the USB to TTL Serial adapter I bought.

Pics below if helpful

Could someone please help give my some guidance?

Many thanks
