DPI Documentation ?

Mon Feb 16, 2015 5:41 pm

Hey guys,
I'm trying to use a raw TTL display with the raspberry pi but haven't found any documentation on the peripheral, or even to what pins it's broken out.

If you haven't seen it adafruit managed it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTuvzxkVaKs

They built on the VGA666 device tree: https://github.com/fenlogic/vga666/blob ... i.dts#L193

Reading the device tree and board schematics gets me...almost there, but i'm not sure how they got things working with out any kind of documentation.

I can resort to switching on the VGA666 device tree and busting out a logic analyzer, but i'm surprised there isn't any thing written down.

I already pointed you to the thread ceteras mentioned on YouTube. Currently, that is the best DPI documentation we have. But to summarize a bit:
How to enable the lines not used for VGA
Advanced options for the DPI interface
Set custom resolution | Note: It is always hdmi_cvt, even on DPI/VGA.
My successful result

Saw that thanks for the replies. I've since gotten every thing I need. I'm testing now and writing up my experience.
