Mine arrived today (CPC) in a similar condition. They've added a bit of foam to the packing (which wasn't used on the original batch) after getting complaints from us lucky enough to receive one earlier that the box was getting squashed. Unfortunately when the box does get squashed in transit the foam just helps to kink the cable. So they've tried to solve the original problem but not quite got it right. They do read this forum and have taken comments into account, but best to e-mail them direct with your order reference to let them know. Spare / replacement cables are available (there are links in this forum) if you do damage it yourself, but the packing does need to be a little more 'post friendly'. My letterbox doesn't have teeth nor do I have a dog, but sometimes things on my doorstep aren't quite as they left the factory. No extra charge for packing / delivery is a bonus, but the item should arrive in a 'new' condition.

Liz / mods - you may want to merge this with the older threads.

Yeah, it just needs a bit of thought.

The cable could have been folded around the outer foam to maintain an adequate bend radius. Or the little box could be longer so that the cable lays completely flat, as the box ends up in a giant Jiffy bag anyway.

Anyway, enough moaning, the camera works...yipee!
