Hello guys,

I have a throughly simple question, which I couldn't find an answer to. How should I place the blue filter which comes with the Pi camera over the lens? I ought to find a reliable approach sine I'll install it outdoors for a long periode of time.

Thanks,

Why are you wanting to install it? Are you actually studying plants with it, as it isn't required for normal operation

I forgot to mention that. Yes, I intend to use it for plant analysis.

OK, as long as you realise what it's there for.
If your Pi is outdoors then I would hope it is in a case. That being so, mounting the gel over to the aperture in the case for the camera would probably be the easiest approach.

Remembering back, there have been a few blog or MagPi articles on plant analysis.
See if you can find them and see how they mounted them.
Also try a search with

Public Lab may also have something.

A search on
NDVI Pi Camera Noir
May bring others

here the NCBI article I remember

Hope you find a nice method to mount it.
The main thing is to get it over the end of the lens holder, this should stop reflection from other sources. And turn the led off on the camera too.
