ECU + Pi

Hello,

Anyone have any tips on hooking up a car's ECU to a raspberry pi to pull data out of it?

I have a 1997 Nissan Micra and a Raspberry pi so far, what hardware will I need? How can I pull data out? Can I code something in Java to pull out the data that I can run on my Pi?

what are you looking to find out from the ECU?

I would suspect some kind of ODBII port to serial then some kind of serial adapter. then you would need to port the software to run on the Pi and finally download and install the info from the manufacturer.

Your car uses the Nissan Consult version 1 protocol
