I asked a question to ModMyPi regarding the case via PM and got the following back, I had suggested they post an update in this post but they haven't.

Hi Gary,

We had to put the development on hold unfortunately, whilst the RPi Foundation sort themselves out with their next gen bits, compute module etc.

We will be doing a Mk.2 media case, but we need to wait until Q3 before we can decide to proceed!

Ok, but they started this over a year ago, and we haven had any update for months, long long long before the compute module was even a dream

Not from ModMyPi. But others have done it. Take a look at http://www.sbcshop.co.uk/mediapi-42-c.asp - this one is available, I think.

How accessible are the GPIO pins going to be with the window removed ? Also is there a way to have the break out cable from the GPIO stay attached with the window on the case ?
