Macintosh Powerbook 170 keyboard and roller with RPi

Fri Dec 14, 2018 1:11 am

Good Afternoon!

I am currently working on a project where I am trying to connect my Powerbook 170 keyboard and roller to my Raspberry Pi 3.

I found this video on the web, where someone has successfully connected it to the pi, by using which seems like a Teensy LC:

Furthermore, he posted this file on Github, which contains the build information, and source code for the firmware.

Although this is very helpful information for the project, I am still not sure how to proceed. I have looked at multiple tutorials on people connecting their old vintage keyboards to the RPi using a Teensy device, but I am still not sure how I should connect the keyboard to the Teensy and how I am supposed to install the drivers that are included in the Github file onto the Teensy device.

Therefore, I would like to ask the community if they have any ideas on how to do this and any help is greatly appreciated!

:)
