Help with hardware.

Sat Jul 16, 2016 1:27 am

Hello!

Forgive me if my post is in the wrong location.

I am new to the Raspberry Pi by from my understanding of it, I think it might be useful in a project I want to start.
At its core, the project requires 3 cameras to run simultaneously and later save the videos. Would the Raspberry Pi be able to do this effectively at 30 fps?

If not, could someone kindly point me in the direction of an inexpensive hardware that can support this?

What type of project is this not much info to go on? Would three pi zeros work? Or do they need to be run off one cpu ?

You're going to struggle to drive three cameras that quickly from a single RPi. Running three RPis with a camera each would make it feasible. If you go with RPi Z @ £5 a throw it's a cheap option.
