Custom resolution for an old projector

Wed Feb 11, 2015 6:53 pm

Hello all,

After several years using a Raspberry Pi B on my TV with Raspbmc + custom changes, I had the opportunity to install back a projector which was sleeping in his box for several years due to no place to put it.

Now I have a proper room for this, I can use my old JVC dila DLA-HX2E which use a 1400*788 resolution.
I did setup the PI to use DMT hdmi_mode=42 = 1400x1050 60 Hz but even if it works fine since the projector cut properly the top and bottom, I am not pleased with this. 60Hz generate some traveling problems with picture often cut in 2 horizontally and with this separation moving from top to bottom of screen.

I really need a 50 Hz and a 48 Hz one with 1400 pixel width to have *2 the movie framerate.

Does anyone know a way to have 1400x1050 50 Hz / 1400x1050 48 Hz or full custom 1400x788/50 or 48Hz?
