pc video to rpi to tv

Thu Oct 03, 2019 3:45 pm

Hello,
I am trying to use a rpi3 to accept video from a pc and display it to a tv. the roadblock im at is 1) what is the best way to connect a pc(w10) to the rpi to transfer video, 2) what software i should use to accept the video feed via (usb) on the rpi. 3) display out the hdmi on the rpi to a tv.

the reason im in search of this, im trying to create a wireless display adapter for airplay on the pi that can also accept video from a pc. an example of use would be im watching a movie from my pc and my friends come over wanting to show some videos from their vacation. then i can pause the movie while they connect via airplay to my rpi then it just switches video input to the airplay feature. when they are done it would switch back to the video feed from the pc...

thank you,

When you say "video" are you talking about video-files or the output from the graphicscard on the PC ?
