Automated bluetooth connection (audio sink) for the RPi 3B+ with Buster

Sat Sep 21, 2019 7:00 pm

Hello!

I was looking for a way to use a Raspberry Pi as Bluetooth audio sink, and with the RPi 3B+ and Raspbian Buster it's finally possible.
This tutorial shows how i'm doing it with Pexpect for terminal interaction automation:

One ceveat:
It works for Raspbian buster with Desktop, but not for Raspbian lite. With Buster lite, the RPi forgets the Bluetooth class audio after every reboot and i found no way to fix that. There has to be some missing packages in Buster lite which cause this behaviour.
If anyone has an idea in regard of this, please let me know!

Happy hacking,

KoP
