RPi as "audio server"

Sun Jan 24, 2016 7:00 pm

Hi guys, i hope it's the right place to make my question, i'm sorry if it's not :D
I tried to search something related, but i have found nothing.
I just bought my first RPi B 2 and i would to create an "audio server", by letting the music playing through my smartphone or tablet.
My question is: can the audio flow through directly from a network device, like, as i said, a notebook, a mobile device using a web interface?

Example: the microSD card contains some mp3s, i launch, for example, a web interface from my notebook connected in my home network. Can i listen to the music through the notebook's speakers?

I'm sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language.

Thanks in advance!
