Lipo fuel gauge

Sun Mar 03, 2013 4:43 pm

Hi,

At concept stage in design of RC rover with onboard rpi, where the rover will be collecting environmental measures for transmission to server for real-time analytics.

I plan to power rover and pi with LIPO packs, and wish for real-time inline monitoring of voltage remaining in supply. Is there such a plug-in solution for multi-cell packs without any need to circuit build, perhaps a meter with a data out for example, I've googled without success.

Many thanks.

there are a few available items you can use from the rc hobby area, try looking at places like hobbyking.com to see if anything fits your planned project

That certainly looks like it will work, not cheap but no soldering skills required either, thanks!

Would that work with a hybrid solar/battery input, recharging the battery from solar?
