Will this work with a Pi instead or Arduino?

Mon Oct 01, 2012 9:16 pm

Hi,

Hopefully looking for a simple yes or no, but any other thoughts suggestions welcome. Will this (http://www.instructables.com/id/Use-Ard ... trol-moto/) work with a Raspberry Pi?

Obviously the coding side of things is different with the RPi, but will the electronic side of things work with a RPi??

Yes, but you may have to use software PWM on the Pi (there is at least one gpio pin which supports hardware PWM on the Pi, I don't know if it's easy to use).

Yes,should work.
pwm: use pwmWrite() from https://projects.drogon.net/raspberry-p ... functions/

Many thanks guys, much appreciated.

one more question if I may, I think the answer is yes but just want to check. If I was to use the other GPIOs would it the work in a binary fashion? So would be either full power or no power at all??

You can use software PWM with all of the gpio pins.
