My MRPi1, mini robot.

Sun Jan 10, 2016 3:09 pm

Hi,

We have created a mini mobile robot based on Raspberry Pi A+ version. The robot called MRPi1 designed with Pi and STM32 microcontroller for low level. This robot can be talk, move with obstacle avoidance, telepresence, etc.

MRPi1 is Open source, design with Kicad Software, and very easy to customizable with laser cutting or other. Because the mecanics parts is engineered wood.

The specification of MRPi1 :
- 2 dc motors with encoders,
- Lipo battery (USB charging),
- Wifi,
- Speaker with ampli,
- TV remote sensor,
- Accelerometer 3 axes,
- Temperature sensor,
- 4 proximity sensors,
- Camera

Size : 100 mm diameter
Weight : 200 g

The robot is still under developement, currently in prototype phase .

New video of MRPi1 robot , with PID controller :http://www.macerobotics.com/news/

In this video MRPi1 robot is controled by two PID controller. The PID controller calculates an error values between motors encoders and orientation/distance desired value.

The speed profile :Trapezoid profile with 3 parts : acceleration, constant speed and deceleration.
