Raspberry pi doenst remember the credentials of my SMB share

Sat Oct 12, 2019 10:58 am

Hi,

My raspberry pi doesnt remember the credentials that i provided to access my windows share.

I connect to my share via smb:// and then i fill in my login details, and select the option to save my password. It does until i reboot the system.

I want that my pi saves the password permanently. Is that possible?

Raspbian's file manager pcManFm has "digital dementia" and is incurable.... :mrgreen:

some have used other file managers

but I've always mounted network shares via /etc/fstab
sample below

Code: Select all

//192.168.121.230/HDD2    /media/pi/R64NAS2  cifs credentials=/root/.cifuser,nofail,vers=1.0,x-systemd.automount 0 0
access credentials are stored in .cifuser
"Don't come to me with 'issues' for I don't know how to deal with those
Come to me with 'problems' and I'll help you find solutions"

Some people be like:
"Help me! Am drowning! But dont you dare touch me nor come near me!"
