How can I connect raspberry to a domain?

Sat Jun 22, 2019 1:01 pm

I'd like to make my Raspberry pi 3B+ able to host website with my own domain name (I already have it). Could anyone help me how to do it.

I've installed everything to host a website and I can successfully host a website in my localhost. Now I want to make my localhost online and I want to connect it to my domain. I saw a YouTuber did that he is now hosting whole website with Raspberry pi 3

Thanks

Welcome to the forum

First find out if your broadband contract allows you to do this

Second Find out if your ISP blocks ports 80 or 8080

Third Find out if you have a static or dynamic external IP address

Fourth follow the notes on securing your Pi https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... ecurity.md

Then come back with answers to 1, 2 and 3 and what web server are you running
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...
