I use this OLED display: http://www.wide.hk/products.php?product ... B47%7D-ARM

It works for me with lcdproc http://www.lcdproc.org/ and xbmc.
If volumio can talk to the lcdproc service, you have plenty of choices.

It is exactly this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Full-aluminum-C ... 0785455085

The ebay's photo sucks, it is high quality brushed aluminium case. I can put some hi-res photos with complete system if you interested.

Volumio uses MPD as it's backend to play the media. There are python bindings to request data from MPD such as the current song.
