xbmc update not working properly..

Mon May 05, 2014 9:33 pm

Just fired up my raspberry pi tonight running xbmc.

It promptly started updating, which is nothing new, however when it rebooted I now have a number if problems..

Firstly its overscaning slightly
Secondly my all in one ir remote has lost some key functionality, namely the back and home screen buttons are not working at all. Meaning I cannot cycle thru menus

And thirdly, there is no audio selection options in the in video audio config page, so I cannot select analog audio output

Not sure if this is the right forum or if there is a xbmc specific site? But right now I just want to be able to roll back to the previous workin version... If that is possible?

What distribution are you using? Raspbmc? Openelec? XBMC on raspbian?

Right, its a raspbmc install

I had a dig through the settings and found the audio choice option now in there and not in the playplayback screen...

I attempted to re do the video calibration but on reboot it just goes back to the way it was.

I have found that a 'clear' button on my remote now works in the settings pages but for anything else just takes me straight back to the home screen...

Have you tried asking on the dedicated RaspBMC forum?
Pi2B Mini-PC/Media Centre: ARM=1GHz (+3), Core=500MHz, v3d=500MHz, h264=333MHz, RAM=DDR2-1200 (+6/+4/+4+schmoo). Sandisk Ultra HC-I 32GB microSD card on '50=100' OCed slot (42MB/s read) running Raspbian/KODI16, Seagate 3.5" 1.5TB HDD mass storage.

There isn't a dedicated forum for raspbmc on this site as it is not a foundation product.

hope this helps,

That looks like its where I need to be looking! I might actually get some more functionality from xbmc now ad well! Cheers!

It looks like a lot of things have been changed on this new version...
