Cheers Kratos! Had a nice timeKratos wrote: Happy anniversary!
Nice one! Probably moot if you've got it working, but this seems to indicate that the library issue is due to the compiler; MATE 16.04 on pi has gcc 5 it appears?Kratos wrote:I am currently working on organizing all the files. I will then upload them all to Google Drive for you all to try out. I successfully completed builds of Kodi 16 and 17 for both Ubuntu MATE 15 and 16. On Jarvis, I had no issues adding Music to the library.
I am working on it. I will do some more testing and builds this week.carvari wrote:Hi everybody.
I've been testing Kratos (thanks Kratos!) packages for Kodi Jarvis on a fresh Ubuntu Mate 16.04 installation (via berryboot, converting the official image to SquashFS following berryboot instructions).
Unfortunately, just like reported by other users, i can't add tv shows or movies to the library (once media imported to the library, Kodi crash and i must delete database to run again without crasing). Some progress on this issue?
Thanks in advance, and excuse my english.
Thanks for the link! Will check it out and see what I can do. And yes, I believe it is gcc 5.Snze wrote: Nice one! Probably moot if you've got it working, but this seems to indicate that the library issue is due to the compiler; MATE 16.04 on pi has gcc 5 it appears?
Looking forward to trying the new builds
Here is Kodi 17! I have not had a chance to do any others yet. Tell me if you have the same problems. Remember to remove your current Kodi version.Snze wrote:Looking forward to trying the new builds
The solution was in the link you provided, disabling optimizations.Snze wrote:The library works!! Congratulations! What was it, in the end?
Still messing about with it at the moment; had a few random crashes, which i didn't seem to be getting on the previous version, though... I've turned off all the eye-candy and it seems more stable.
I have not built it yet. If you want it, it will be no problem for me to build it quick. Then, you can install the pvr stuff and it should work.Avie02 wrote:Kratos,
Does Npvr not come loaded in the new Kodi 17? This might seem like an odd question but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thank you for the awesome work on this build.
The libcec3 package is alredy installed in its last versionKratos said:
Try install libcec like so:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install libcec3
When i start kodi, the tv remote doesn't work.Kratos said:
What happens if you just start kodi? Correct me if I am wrong, but, it sounds like you are manually starting cec. I don't think you need to do that.
