Hello guys,

I'm a newbie to Raspberry Pi. I have bought a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ for 2 weeks.
Basically, I'm mobile guy who get familiar with Objective-C and Swift rather than python.

Currently, I have set up the Swift 4.1.1 on a Raspbian Stretch Lite OS, and set up XCode to compile Swift for Raspberry PI. I'd would like to share the way I set up it with you guys and the one who feel interested in Swift.

Check out my post here https://swiftreviewer.com/2018/12/25/co ... -by-xcode/

I was just today wondering how that whole Swift thing was coming along, did a little looking around, and I see that they just released Swift 4.1.3 for the Pi Zero. Then here you are helping with Xcode. Cool stuff!

While I _completely_ understand the desire to use a proper full-blown IDE for development, especially on projects that are larger than a few files, don't dismiss using command-line tools like vi as "Stone Age" too quickly. iTerm2 + ssh + tmux + vim + Magic Trackpad = AMAZING.

I have a build of swift 5.0 for the pi that I built myself from source.

I am using vi ( the version that comes with busy box ) and the swift REPL for smaller tests.

However, being able to use a full featured IDE like Xcode is a huge bonus. For example code completion helps a lot when you don't remember all of the function parameters.

Is there any swift support for syntax colouring and code completion in vi that you guys know of?
