Java+MySql

Tue Aug 28, 2012 10:51 pm

First of all I would like to thanks everyone that is reading this thread. I've received my RPi a week ago, and since then I've been trying to build a Java application that will access a MYSQL database. Before the arrive of the RPi I had started the project on my Windows 7 computer but when I try to run it on the RPi I get this error:

java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:mysql://localhost/mydb

The code line that triggers this error is:

Connection v_Conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://localhost/mydb",p_User,p_Pwd);

I've been trying to find the JDBC suitable for this without success and it would be of great help if anyone could enlighten me on that.

ps: I'm using the 2012-08-16-wheezy-raspbian image and Mysql server version 5.5.24-7.

It's quite impressive how fast things can solve itselves when you ask for help. I discovered that I had to use the "Export -> Runnable JAR File", not the "Export -> JAR File". Thanks anyway.
