Code Academy Python Course

Sat Oct 06, 2012 9:22 pm

Hi All,

I am looking at Code Academy's interactive course in Python to help an 11year old and myself learn Python.
Shown here: http://www.codecademy.com/tracks/python
The content has worked on all browsers I have tried other than the Raspberry Pi's which shows no content.
Just wondering if anyone is working though this on a Pi and how to get the content.
Cheers.
Jim

I tried it on Iceweasel (equivalent to Firefox) on my RPi running in turbo mode and the site seemed to be working OK, but extremely slowly (not something you'd want to use). And my CPU usage was pegged at 100%. Probably not a good choice for using on a Pi, although the site does appear to have some very nice features.

Thanks Bill.
I think the Code Academy stuff is a good place to start with him and I can move over to something like Geany on the Pi once we have the basics nailed.

Did you have any luck with this?

I found the Pi to be too slow and impractical for running Code Academy.
