Determine the location of a QR code in an image

Sun Apr 17, 2016 10:04 pm

For my science fair project, I'm going to read a QR code with a webcam connected to the Raspberry Pi B+ via USB cable. At the moment, I've got the RPI to take a picture, then read the QR code - using the library called Zbar. Python (that's the programming language I'm using) then prints the result into Python shell. Now I want Python to determine the location of the centre of the QR code, and print it out. Does anyone have any Python code I could use? Or does anyone recommend any libraries (apparently OpenCV takes a big chunk of your SD card so I don't want to use it unless it's the only option)?

Yours Sincerely,

TintinMovie :)

A quick read about zbar and it suggests it will do it for you.

Have you tried just asking zbar to interpret the image for you.
