resources for learn FORTRAN?

Thu Sep 20, 2012 4:27 pm

I'm an old fortran programmer but I don't program for more than 15 years.
I downloaded gfortran (F95) for "raspi" and would like to access some tutorials both the language and the compiler and linker to remember the basics.
Some address?
Thanks in advance

If you are asking for recommendations for specific websites containing tutorials, I can't help. I stopped using Fortran in 1988.

Mortimer Thanks for your answer, but I can not find relevant information on how to compile and link, I must use the command gfortran? gcc? some kind of make?, what are the options?. (I can not find help with man or inpho).
In this moment I am unable to create the exec for a tipical "hello world" program, and without documentation I dont know how to set the path for libraries etc.
Help please!

Clive Page's Fortran Resources is a useful start. I learned Fortran 77 from his book Professional Programmer's Guide to Fortran77, which is also on the site.

Slightly unhelpful - not necessarily the LMGTFY bit (people really should use Google or similar prior to asking questions to reduce load on the Forum and the moderators), but why bother posting when you 'stopped using Fortran in 1988'?

I have had very good luck with: http://www.g95.org

They have developed a very robust compiler.
