SSH via Docker

Sat Dec 08, 2018 12:55 pm

Hi all,

We would like to SSH into our Pis from the Internet via a Remote.it/Dataplicity-type solution, but one that we run ourselves.
We have a server running Docker.
Does anyone know if is there is a solution for Docker to enable this ?

( Googling is hard because you get a lot of solutions about ssh-ing into your server :-) )

TIA !

Creating your own VPN hub seems to be a common way.

That's pretty much the way I do it, except I have two "cloud" tinc servers, one at Vultr and one at Digital Ocean. This means I can still connect to my home network if one of them is unavailable. I also use the part of my home subnet for the tinc network, so when I do connect remotely I get part of the same address range. (My laptop connects as 192.168.42.55 whether I'm at home or using the VPN).
