mmcblk0: retrying using single block read

Sun Oct 13, 2013 7:33 am

Hello,

i have problem with my Raspberry Pi. At every night its hangon. Working all day fine, by morning hangs. I cant log on via SSH, no response. Connected USB keyboard response for typing, letters are showed on screen, but unable to log in. When i enter login at login prompt, nothing happend. After reboot works fine.

I can find strange errors: like this in /var/log/message, see bottom of post.

During night system do backup copy of files to pendrive, tar'ing some folder. Nothing unusal. Do you think my SD card is broken?

w1_slave_driver 28-000005049682: 18S20 doesn't respond to CONVERT_TEMP.

I think your SD Card is less than healthy. It's not broken because you can reboot.

Have you updated your RPi to the latest kernel image?

What does `uname -a` show?

Code: Select all

root@pi ~ # uname -a
Linux pi 3.6.11+ #538 PREEMPT Fri Aug 30 20:42:08 BST 2013 armv6l GNU/Linux
root@pi ~ #
If you're on an earlier kernel than that then I'd update it with `sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade`

Linux XXXXXXXXX 3.6.11+ #545 PREEMPT Fri Sep 20 23:57:55 BST 2013 armv6l GNU/Linux

I am not sure about this. I have made dd linux image of SD card, then i have formated SD vi SDformater, and write image again, and SD works fine.
