5G wifi not working on raspberry pi 4

Fri Dec 13, 2019 8:44 am

Whenever I'm on 5G wifi, my raspberry repeatedly disconnects and auto connects. The weird thing is that my wifi connection is stable with 2.4G wifi. I have 2 routers in my house with 5G wifi & 1 router in my house with 2.4G wifi. Would that be the problem?

Generally speaking 5G WiFi goes faster but has less range than 2.4. It doesn’t go through opaque obstacles as well as 2.4.
If signal strength on 5GHz is poor, you could get disconnects.

Adding to epoch1970s suggestion.
There is a chance of interference with other 5GHz radios. Do you operate any wireless videolink?
What routers are incolved?
Try to set 802.11a only (no n, no ac, no ax) in your router's config and see what happens.
