Wifi drops out...

Hey gang,

So using what I found in the wiki for compatible hardware, I picked up the following:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817111909 - USB powered Hub

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6833315091 - Edimax EW-7811un wifi adaptor

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6826104706 - Logitech C-525 usb webcam

I'm powering the RPi via an official apple iPhone power cube, 5V, 1.0A

I've tried using the Wifi Adaptor both hooked directly to the top USB port on the RPi (with the hub attached to the bottom port), as well as hooked to the USB hub.

The Wifi Adaptor just seems to periodocially complelely drop out, and the only way to get wifi back is to pull the wifi adaptor out, wait a couple seconds and plug it back in. FAR from reliable.

I'm running the latest version of Raspbian, and this is on a new 512MB model RPi. And I'm running it without any sort of HDMI or Composite display hooked up (I'm just SSH'ing into it.)

It seems to happen pretty reliably when I try to stream out video from the webcam.

Thoughts??? Is there something I should look for in a log file somewhere?

Ok, seems like it's still a power related issue. I switched to a different USB hub I have and haven't had any problems since. It's an older Belkin 7-port F5U259-ME.
