Pi's stopped working

Mon Aug 19, 2019 3:36 pm

Hi,

I am fairly new to Raspberry Pi's.
Had a Pi 3 B+ which I got working okay. I was a bit surprised that there was no on/off switch.
Anyway after working fine for a month, it stopped. Wouldn't boot, just red power light, no activity light.

I thought I'd shorted something as it seemed dead.

Got a spare so was working with that and it has now done the same thing.
I have been shutting down from the OS before unplugging power (when I need to change anything e.g. camera boards etc). Then power on again.
So I just did that sequence and once again it wouldn't boot. Just power light, no activity.

Any ideas what might be going on? One time the SD card got corrupted after power down so I reimaged it and was okay.
Just tried that but still no activity.

Am I doing soemthing wrong?

Any ideas welcome.

There is a summary of all the knowledge accumulated from these forums during the past 7 years about difficulties getting an RPi to boot, see - STICKY: Is your Pi not booting? (The Boot Problems Sticky) - https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 28&t=58151

In particular there is a section specific to the RPi3B+ and problems with its power supply.
