Buster: Wifi not working

Sun Aug 11, 2019 7:55 am

I try to connect my RPi 1B (Raspbian Buster Lite) to my network usind a WiFi dongle.

1. It does not connect.
wpa_supplicant.conf (Stolen from my Pi Zero with Retropie Stretch. Works fine with the same WiFi network and the same WiFi dongle):

Code: Select all

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1
country=DE
# RETROPIE CONFIG START
network={
	ssid="AFritzbox"
	psk="PASSWORD"
}
# RETROPIE CONFIG END
2. When I want to use raspi-config to configurate WiFi it tells me:

Code: Select all

 Could not communicate with wpa_supplicant
PS: At the same time the Pi is connected by LAN with my network. This way I am able to use SSH at the moment. This shoun't not cause any of the problems, right?
