Unable to enumerate USB on port X

hi..!
i have a RT5370 chipset wifi and when i plug it in it shows me nothing....
it can't be found on command lsusb and on command dmesg shows "Unable to enumerate USB on port 2" ..

How can i solve it ?? thanks

If it cannot even enumerate then it must either be faulty hardware or a power issue...

Do you have an older version of the board or the new 512M version?

Have you tried using a powered hub?

Does your network interface work correctly?

i have the 256mb rev.1 and i havent now a powered hub....
my internet connection stops for 1(or less) seconds and then is back .....

you are going to need a powered hub for any wireless adapter [IME]
the basic RPi will not be able to provide enough power .
